The Blueprint for Success

Questions, answered
like folding wings.

The first contact should feel easy. Here are the things most people want to know before they reach out.

A Licensed Clinical Alcohol and Drug Clinician is trained to assess, diagnose, and treat substance use and co-occurring conditions. The work spans structured evaluation, individual counseling, case management, follow-up support, psychoeducation, and coordination with medical or psychiatric care when needed.

No. Recovery is not a prerequisite for care — it is often the result of it. Harm reduction is a valid, evidence-based starting point. We begin wherever you are and build from there, at your pace.

Yes. Sessions are protected under the same confidentiality standards that govern all clinical care, with additional federal protections (42 CFR Part 2) specific to substance use treatment. The only exceptions are imminent risk of harm to self or others, or certain legal mandates — which we will discuss openly before they ever arise.

Coverage depends on your plan. Documentation is provided that you may submit to your insurer, and we can talk through fees and payment before you begin — so there are no surprises once the work starts.

Both. In-person sessions are available by appointment, and secure telehealth sessions are offered for those who prefer — or require — the comfort of their own space. The clinical quality is identical.

Recovery is not a single event with a finish line; it is a practice. Some people find steadiness in a few months of focused work. Others benefit from longer-term support. We will set realistic milestones together and adjust them as you grow.

Uncertainty is a fine reason to come in. An assessment is not a verdict — it is a conversation that brings clarity. Many people leave a first session simply knowing themselves better, whether or not a diagnosis follows.

Yes, with your consent. Addiction affects the whole system, and family education or joint sessions can be a powerful part of healing. You remain in control of who is included and when.
